How can cutting-edge X-ray imaging be translated into advances in clinical research and healthcare? This was a central question at MASRi 2026 (Medical Applications of Synchrotron Radiation Imaging), held in Helsingør, Denmark, where several InfraVis experts contributed to the scientific programme.

InfraVis experts Donglin Liu, Emanuel Larsson, Carl Troein and Jonas Ahlstedt presented posters and lightning talks, sharing methods and tools for analysing and visualizing complex imaging data. During the poster session, Emanuel Larsson also demonstrated a visible light tomography scanner.

The conference also featured research from InfraVis-supported user Irma Mahmutovic-Persson, who presented work on lung tissue strain conducted with support from InfraVis.
