InfraVis at satellite event to Swedish e-Science Academy 2025

An increasing number of researchers in the social sciences, arts, and humanities are turning to research infrastructures to support their work. This was the focus of a satellite event which was held during the Swedish e-Science Academy 2025 in Umeå. InfraVis hosted the event together with Humlab and the Environmental Archaeology Lab (MAL).

During this satellite event, researchers were invited to meet, discuss shared challenges, and showcase digital research infrastructures that support work in the social sciences, arts, and humanities.

Three infrastructures were invited to this half-day event: Apart from InfraVis, also Huminfra – a national infrastructure supporting digital and experimental research in the humanities, and SweDigArch – a national infrastructure for digital archaeology were invited. SweDigArch is aimed at promoting a new generation of data-driven research on the interaction between humans and the environment. It is based at the Environmental Archaeology Laboratory (MAL) in Umeå.
