InfraVis recently joined the world premiere of the dome film Darkness Matters by Costanza Julia Bani at m:brane in Malmö. InfraVis contributed to the production through InfraVis application expert Julius Häger, who provided precise measurements of light pollution at several specific locations.
Taking advantage of being in the region, Julius Häger and Björn Thuresson from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology node also visited the Lund University node to explore the new OMNI‑DECK, a 360‑degree VR treadmill currently being installed in the VR lab at Ingvar Kamprad Design Center. The visit offered an early hands‑on opportunity to test how the new hardware can enhance immersive visualization experiences and future research collaborations.
The combined trip underscored the value of cross‑node cooperation within InfraVis by bringing together expertise, and strengthening the network through shared technologies and exchange.
